The Station Museum of Contemporary Art announces an evening of experimental sound and musical performances on Wednesday, April 12th at 6:30 p.m.

Colin Hedrick makes cinematic sequences of loop based beat music informed by house, ambient, drone, screw, 90’s chillout and r&b. He is also one half of Houston based music label Sutra.

Edison Carhuaricra is one half of Peruvian experimental electronic group Colores En Espiral inspired by electronic, industrial, ambient noise, minimal ambient, and idm.

Field recordings and ambient tropes converge in Briefcase Brad’s stuttering hip-hop and noise inflected soundscapes. Briefcase is also a member of Houston based collective First Ward Sound (FWS).

Tsuyoshi Anzai creates simple-structured machines comprised of impromptu combinations of everyday items that when connected to a motor resonate whimsical yet chaotic percussive compositions.

Through the use of water as a percussive instrument, Megan Easely aspires to create an experience that speaks both to human and non-human audiences as well as further an ongoing investigation into the sonic possibilities that water provides.

Gerritt Wittmer is a sound and performance artist; his work articulates abstract narratives through vocal expression, body performance and theatrical lighting. Gerritt also heads Houston based record label Misanthropic Agenda.
