These people are all victims of their daily lives, hard lives with little or no possibility for improvement in an environment replete with severe socio-economic limitations. Anger, fear and resignation dominate their lives. Despite the trying conditions of their lives, there is an amazing resiliency within them that empowers them.
Though the content of these photographs may appear to be purely erotic in nature, Karma Sutra addresses a topic far more complex. It is a tribute to these special human beings, these amazing persons who dedicate their lives to fight to live a just life in a society that is not designed for them. On another level this series is a tragic metaphor of life in Colombia.
