Can Dialectics Break Bricks by Rene Vienet – a 1973 Situationist détournement film which explores the development of class conflict through revolutionary agitation, using the martial arts film Crush by Tu Guangqi.

6PM-8PM – Reading Group: Spatial Stories by Michel Certeau – Led by Philip Kelleher

Philip Kelleher is a PhD student in the department of Art History at Rice University. He holds a master’s degree in Art History from Binghamton University, SUNY. In 2016, he completed the Center for Critical and Cultural Theory Program at Rice University. Kelleher was a Critical Studies fellow in the Whitney Museum of American Art Independent Study Program (2013-14) and in the Museum of Fine Arts Houston Core Program (2011-13). He was a participant in the 17th Annual Berlin Roundtable on Transnationality, organized by the Social Science Research Council Berlin and Humboldt University Berlin (2013). He has served as a lecturer in the School of Visual and Dramatic Arts at Rice University and the School of Art at the University of Houston.
